About Ethan Shutt

As a data manager at a labor union for homecare workers in the Pacific Northwest region, I have developed a diverse skill set that includes people management, project management, and creative thinking when building strategy around organizational campaigns and departmental goals. My expertise in research and statistics has helped me build and manage a data team, increasing its capacity and the complexity of its operational scope and project portfolio. I am proud to have been part of a team that developed a survey, analyzed the results, and presented a report that led to the nation's first legislation protecting home care workers from harassment, abuse, and discrimination. My ultimate goal is to make meaningful change on a large scale. I am passionate about advocating for social justice and supporting policies that ensure families and individuals near or below the poverty line receive fair wages and benefits, while also fighting for billionaires to pay their fair share in taxes. In my current role, I am able to combine my skills and passions to make a positive impact on the lives of homecare workers and their families.
