About Ethan Soderna

Currently I work with the Chicago Cubs in a fan services role, assisting fans with anything related to the Chicago Cubs organization. This role has taught me a lot about the Cubs organization, working in professional sports, and with assisting customers to give them the best service possible. My education has played a large role into who I am today as I have graduated with honors from the University of Charleston, with a Masters of Business Administration. Previously, I graduated Cum Laude from Ohio Wesleyan University, with a bachelor's degree in Health and Human Kinetics: Sports & Exercise Management, along with minors in both French and Business. I have had lots of experience working in the sports field, from youth baseball to collegiate athletics. Throughout my collegiate athletic career, I assisted in the Athletic Departments of the schools I worked with through different internship roles. I have lots of experience when it comes to organization, event setup, management, and facility maintenance throughout these roles. I also had an operations internship with Players Sports & Social Group, where I worked with the sports operations of adult summer sports leagues across Chicago. In all of my experience, I have hands on in person experience with the creation and operations of the events, along with office work, specifically with the management of Excel graphs to make information easy to access for upper management. I have owned a sports club called the Chicago Green River Sports Club. This was created to continue the ideas and goals from the Chicago Mudcats. I had been the head summer camp counselor and coach for the Chicago Mudcats Sport & Social Club for three years, where I work with kids aged 6-13. I have also coached youth travel baseball teams. Working with kids is something that I enjoy, because I feel that I can have a big impact on the community. At Ohio Wesleyan, I have been able to contribute both in the classroom, and outside. Playing baseball for the school has helped with time-management and leadership skills. I have also held a leadership position in Sigma Phi Epsilon, my fraternity, along with working in the school mail room. I enjoy making connections with people everywhere I go.
