About Ethan Tantleff

I started college on the pre-med track, studying neuroscience because I was curious about how people think and make decisions. Midway through, I realized I was more interested in those decisions at a broader level—how people respond to risk, incentives, and markets. That led me to add economics, shift my focus, and eventually pursue a Master of Finance at the University of Miami. My background in economics gave me a strong foundation in structured thinking, market dynamics, and policy implications—tools I now apply in analyzing real-world investment opportunities. Since then, I’ve worked across financial planning, insurance analytics, and real estate development. I’m currently interning at Waypoint Residential, where I research multifamily investment opportunities in high-growth Sunbelt markets—evaluating trends, modeling IRR, and thinking strategically about growth. My path hasn’t been linear, but it’s been focused: I like working with data, solving problems, and figuring out what drives value. I’m exploring opportunities in finance and strategy that value research, logic, and curiosity—roles where I can learn from sharp people and contribute to high-stakes decisions.
