About Ethan Thompson

I am a proud graduate of the University of Michigan - Ann Arbor with a Bachelors of Science degree in Environment specializing in Conservation and Wildlife Biology. During my time at UofM, I was a 5 year collegiate club-athlete for the 2x Intercollegiate Club National Champion and 2x Intercollegiate Club National Runner-Up Michigan Rifle Team. I hold the position of primary field trainer for the Non-Emergent Transport Division of Rockford Ambulance Service in Rockford Michigan. Even while working as a field trainer, I am still in pursuit of an environmental position that will enable me to help minimize, or potentially even mitigate negative human impacts on local natural resources, and communities while using the knowledge, and skilled I have honed through the process of completing my University of Michigan bachelor’s degree, summer ecology field research, and previous work experiences. Having been raised as an avid outdoorsman; hunting, fishing, and enjoying nature, wildlife conservation is one of my major passions. In many regions, wildlife populations, and even complete ecosystems are being damaged due to invasive species, and human impacts. As someone who spends much of their spare time in nature, I hope to be able present a different, first-hand experience point of view to current management systems, and help these ecosystems thrive once again.
