As the son of determined, hardworking parents the value of grit and ingenuity has been impressed upon me from a young age. I have always sought to maximize the opportunities provided to me and open the closed doors in my path. The wide variety of academic, work, and personal experiences in my life have helped me gain a well balanced perspective. Throughout my time in university I have worked a night shift three consecutive semesters during a global pandemic while taking full, rigorous course load to build the capital needed to continuously fund my own business venture. At the same time I worked with a group of fellow Gatton Academy alumni to establish The Eckford Mentorship Program with the goal of helping minority students achieve success by pairing them with mentors in their field who can help guide them along their professional journeys. I hope to use my degree in economics to help combat structural inequality, provide educational and financial opportunity, and contribute to shaping a financial and economic system that supports all its' participants.
