About Ethan Weis

Summer 2022 has me fresh into the esports industry full time. Thrilled to be working on a beautiful campus for a great university. 2020 and prior I was working for a titan in the financial services industry had me wearing a lot of hats. Started at the served me well in a dynamic environment constantly changing due to acquisitions, changes in the financial markets, and a consistently expanding role. My biggest strength is my ability to adapt. In 2020 I trained a new hire class of retirement consultants remotely from my friend's kitchen table on short notice during a pandemic when the internet was out at my apartment. I was asked to lead the class because of my reputation being adaptable, having great communication skills, and understanding how to leverage my resources. I was actively working with Client Services and helping manage those relationships while also juggling training new hires. This is just one example of the constant balancing act I was able to perform. Week in and week out my role evolved and its not possible for me to convey all the different departments I assisted in just a few paragraphs. I am happy to elaborate on any of my areas of proficiency. I had no financial services experience when I started with Empower, but my willingness to learn made me a valuable and flexible asset in an environment I eventually became an expert in. My retail background combined with my professional office experience has prepared me to work in any environment.
