A stress engineer in training with experience using ABAQUS to model buried pipelines. Experienced working in a team environment with senior engineers and quickly learning new skills in order to deliver results and projects in a timely manner. An independent problem solver who knows when to ask for assistance and is able to work well unsupervised and provide accurate analysis. A self-taught metalworker with 10 years of experience and in-depth knowledge of power and hand tool safety and operation, backed by engineering design experience and aptitude with SolidWorks, Fusion 360, Onshape, MatLab, and Microsoft Office. This has lead to the development of skills in parametric modelling, designing for manufacturing, creating drawings, and the use of CAM for 3D printing. Skills in communication within a team environment acquired through teaching karate as a first-degree black belt and coordinating with clients and peers at the University of Calgary Outdoor Center. Experience working safely in a machine shop alongside peers and winner of the highest achieving metal shop student award at South Kamloops Secondary School. An independent mindset and strong time management skills.
