About Ethel Bunch

Ethel is the CEO of Global to Local, Inc. a consulting platform that works to develop a coalition of private sector participants, including investors, manufacturers, utilities, suppliers, and state and federal stakeholders to promote the development of clean and resilient energy production in the Southeastern U.S. Global to Local, Inc. recognizes the importance of bringing global perspectives and insights to drive local solutions and impact in the Southeast. This initiative seeks to achieve three main objectives: 1) pool private sector investments in clean energy innovation to expedite advancements and manage risks, 2) capitalize on federal incentives, and 3) influence policies conducive to business and investment, fostering a supportive legislative and regulatory environment for clean energy initiatives. Prior to launching Global to Local, Ethel Founded Sustain South Carolina, a nonprofit organization working at the intersection of commerce and conservation with the mission to connect the sustainability goals of business in South Carolina with local solutions to benefit the economy, environment and people. Ethel has been recognized as one of South Carolina’s most influential leaders in the sustainability space. She was honored in 2021 as a Woman of Influence by Columbia Regional Business Report and in 2022 as Columbia’s 50 Most Influential by Columbia Business Monthly. In her free time, Ethel enjoys spending time with family and friends, playing pickleball, and cheering on the University of South Carolina Gamecocks – especially Coach Dawn Staley’s Women's Basketball team.
