About Ettore Tripodi

Born in Milan on September 23, 1985, he studied scenography at the Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera in Milan. He began to exhibit his works during some collective exhibitions organized by Studio d'Arte Cannaviello, where he also made his first solo exhibition in 2010. Followed several exhibitions in public and private spaces: at the State Institute of Culture in Sophia, the MAC in Lissone, the International Exhibition of Painting in Hang Zhou, the Mucem in Marseille, the Italian Cultural Institute in Marseille. He collaborated with Ilaria Turba on Le désir de regarder loin, a participatory project produced by Zef, the national theater of Marseille, which involved audiences in the northern districts of the city. The project has been selected for Manifesta 13 and received the support of the Italian Council. The work has subsequently been exhibited at Mucem in Marseille and at the Italian Cultural Institute of Marseille in 2021. He also collaborates as an illustrator with several magazines and newspapers including the cultural supplement "Domenica" of "Il Sole 24 Ore". Ettore Tripodi is one of the founders of MammaFotogramma Studio, a group of artists working in applied arts (stop motion video, traditional animation, live action, multimedia installations, interaction design for events and exhibition spaces, design and architecture). Among the studio's most representative works are the Cassina 9.0 interactive installation at the Feltrinelli Foundation in 2017, the interactive table presented in the Vatican City Pavilion during Expo 2015 and Dollar Street, in 2019, at the Milan Triennale.
