About Euan McCall

I have worked in the careers sector since 2005, working in a variety of settings including schools, the community, further education and higher education. I have also worked with young people who are unemployed and those who have experienced the criminal justice system. Currently, I am working as a Careers Consultant at Oxford Brookes University, linked to the Business School. Previously I completed 7 years as a careers adviser at Coventry University mainly working with Health and Life Science students. Alongside my day-to-day work, I have also led on diversity/widening participation projects at Coventry University and Oxford Brookes. These have included talks, access events, careers fairs, internship schemes and courses. This is an area of work I am particularly passionate about and feel should be a crucial part of university and higher education strategy. In addition to my role as a careers adviser, I have a side project, which has seen me write my first book 'The Swan Island Boy', which is available in the usual places including Amazon and Waterstones. The book is a mystery adventure about a boy who goes into hiding after seeing an environmental disaster. Please see for details - If that's your cup of tea, I hope you enjoy it!
