Hovis then further outsourced directs procurement to HD as testament to the outstanding results achieved- Virgin Care: I conducted a skills assessment of the existing internal team at Virgin Care as well as the maturity of the procurement operation. My recommendation to the CFO was outsourcing procurement which included a number of organisational changes to achieve the desired results. Outputs were transforming a tactical buying team to a strategic procurement function with clear strategies, teams were up-skilled to best practise procurement and savings increased from £900k to £2m per annum.
