About Eugene Prodan

I have been working in the IT industry since September 2007, initially starting as a Junior C++ Developer in a small company. Alongside my development role, I also took on responsibilities as an IT support engineer, web developer, and designer. Subsequently, I had the opportunity to join Lohika's training center as a Test Engineer, where I gained valuable experience and made significant progress in my career. I advanced to the position of a Mid-Level Engineer, but felt that I had reached the project's limitations and decided to explore new opportunities. The next major step in my career was joining Luxoft, where I have been working for the past 13 years. During this time, I have made notable advancements in various areas and enjoyed diverse experiences. To summarize my progression, I transitioned from being a Regular Test Engineer to a Test Automation Engineer, then to a Senior Test Automation Engineer (informally referred to as a Regular Developer), and eventually became a Team Lead. Currently, I hold the position of Test Manager. One of my significant achievements is successfully establishing the testing process for Integration and Qualification levels in multiple projects, which have achieved ASPICE certification for Maturity Level 2. This experience was both challenging and rewarding. I take pride in being a certified Agile Professional with over 8 years of experience as a Scrum Master and later as a Product Owner. Furthermore, I had the opportunity to fully substitute as a Project Manager in our programs' secondary project. In addition to my professional pursuits, I have a keen interest in simple engineering projects using Arduino. I am particularly proud of two inventions: my personal flight controller for a quadcopter, which I utilized until it became more cost-effective to purchase one online, and a rough but functional prototype of a telepresence robot. Unfortunately, due to organizational changes, the demand for the telepresence robot diminished, and I lost the enthusiasm to complete the project. Outside of work, I enjoy engaging in various hobbies such as motorcycle trips, snowboarding, kitesurfing, roller skating, and biking. I embrace new adventures and challenges with an open mindset.
