About Eugene Rodrick

At The University of Georgia, my research investigating relationships between nutrition and pediatric bone health has been both a passion and a scholarly pursuit. Recently, my research has focused on factors influencing bone accrual and peak bone mass attainment in vulnerable populations. For my Ph.D. dissertation, I’ve conducted novel work assessing the effects of restrictive eating on the skeletal health of children with Avoidant/Restrictive Food Intake Disorder. My training and research experience have allowed me to advance my skills in medical and scientific writing, as well as public health data processing and statistical analysis. In addition, I've acquired technical skills utilizing dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry and high-resolution peripheral computed tomography for assessing bone health in children and adults. The University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine has equipped me with a strong foundation in medicine, which I've used to advance our current understanding of restrictive eating disorders and their skeletal consequences. Strategic thinking and scholarly research are cornerstones of my work, underscored by multiple scholarships and a dedication to employing cutting-edge technology for bone health assessments.
