About Eva Brewer

As a stage manger, I've had experience coordinating all the logistics needed to put on a stage production. Working closely with performers, I've overseen the collaboration of wardrobe, props, scenic design and lighting/sound cues to ensure a smooth show flow and overall production. Communicating between cast members and upper management, maintaining the integrity of all aspects of the production itself, and handling last minute changes in the most efficient and effective way possible has made my ability to plan and organize as strong as my ability to handle an unforeseen crises. Communication, organization, and patience are the most valuable take-aways from my experience as a stage manager. As a stagehand, I spent many years assisting the local Broadway Venue (The Orpheum Theatre) with the setup, production and breakdown of touring Broadway Music productions. In this capacity I worked in lighting, scenery and props, and set construction. I've operated sound and lighting boards, projectors and follow spots for other events and productions in various theaters in and around Memphis. Also thru my work with IATSE Local 69 I've supervised the set up and breakdown of conventions and other large events. Although floristry and flower farming have nothing to do with my production career, for years I ran a small company selling flower arrangements and various art that I created in the downtime from production work. This business necessitated skills in all of the aspects of gardening and sales: seedling care and planting knowledge, greenhouse upkeep, farmers markets and customer relations, social media networking and website upkeep. I also incorporated other skills in the arts and crafts I created and sold alongside my floral creations. These skills include sewing, pottery, carpentry and painting.
