The rest is conversation.” This is a famous quote by Michael Douglas alias Gordon Gekko in the legendary 20th Century Fox movie “Wall Street” catching the 80ies Zeitgeist in its essence. Though, not without some irony. Back then, I was successfully completing my studies of Culture and Arts, and it became obvious that financial wealth and social responsibility should not be separated if you aimed for long-term success. Many years later, I still hold this truth dear. I wholeheartedly go beyond using my responsibility in corporate communication solely for monetary purposes. My strive during those 26 years as a creative impulse generator on my career path from Publicity Coordinator to Head of Publicity has always been to make 20th Century of Germany publicly visible as a company aware of its duties towards society. Reputation and Corporate Social Responsibility – a combination many can benefit from: In collaboration with RTL’s foundation “We help Children” and the implemented “24h-Urban-Run-Challenge” or the “Bohemian Rhapsody” initiative in 2018 we were able to raise over Euros for kids in need. Change not only applies to companies that want to stay sustainable but always to people, too. I am happy to contribute my inventiveness and experience prolifically to Stiftung Lesen in the future. Life is more than “Bucks”, bank notes and stock market success. Today this is more relevant than ever.
