Since august 2018 my opartner and I are the proud owners of Quinta a Cabra Verde; a bed & breakfast in the middle of the Portuguese region Alentejo. You can find us just outside of the village Vimieiro, an hour and a half away from Lisbon. A sanctuary for peace and quiet. From here different roads will lead you to several cosy villages, the best wineries in the region and beautiful cities, like Evora and Estremoz, with a rich culture and history. The perfect place to combine relaxing with cultural trips, tastings at the wineries and more engaging activities such as cycling and hiking. Quinta a Cabra Verde houses six studio’s, a swimming pool and a restaurant were breakfast is served. In the evening we are serving dinner with as much locally grown biological products as possible. Our water is heated with our own solar panels and our chickens supply us with delicious eggs which we eat at breakfast. We have several different trees full of oranges, lemons, figs, apples and a huge number of olives. It is the perfect place to find peace and quiet and yet there are so many things to do in the surrounding area.
