About Eva Haug

Educational Advisor for Internationalisation of the Curriculum and COIL/virtual exchange at the Amsterdam UAS, steering group member (elected) of the EAIE Expert Community Internationalisation at Home, and lecturer/trainer Intercultural Competence. I wear many hats but they have a common theme: connecting and learning across differences! Born and raised in South America as the daughter of Dutch expats, it is no surprise my passion and my talents are closely related to culture and language. Fluent in Dutch, English and Spanish, I use my communication and networking skills to connect people and educational institutes to work on international projects. At the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences I advice programmes on inclusive internationalisation. How can we give all students an intercultural and international educational experience and help them develop global citizenship skills? By providing professional development and creating innovative international projects, I hope to transform how we teach and learn. Whenever possible, I train students in cross cultural communication and teamwork. I am always looking for ways to motivate students, help them develop the skills they need to be successful global citizens of the 21st century. My motivation and inspiration comes from my international and local network of experts in the fields of education, international business and culture.
