With a background as a registered nurse and deep expertise in healthcare quality and clinical informatics, I am dedicated to transforming healthcare systems for greater safety, equity, and regulatory alignment. My work spans multiple roles where I lead quality initiatives, champion health equity, and consult on interoperability for federal data standards like USCDI+. Currently, as a Senior Clinical Informatics Consultant at Next Level Health Innovations, I provide strategic expertise in data mapping and regulatory compliance to strengthen healthcare data systems on a national scale. My recent projects include supporting the USCDI+ initiative to improve interoperability and drive cohesive healthcare outcomes. In my role as Quality Advisor for AHC, I focus on preparing for accreditation surveys, advancing equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI), and leveraging data to drive safety improvements. I am proud to have led White Oak Medical Center to a Leapfrog grade ‘A’ 2 years in a row by spearheading the collection and validation of critical evidence. At my core, I am passionate about creating a healthcare environment where quality, safety, and equity are accessible to all. My career has been built on driving meaningful change through collaboration, data-driven insights, and a commitment to excellence. Recent impact: Elevating Patient Safety Standards: Led the evidence collection and validation for White Oak Medical Center’s Leapfrog application, resulting in a Leapfrog grade A and affirming our commitment to excellence in patient safety and quality standards- 2023, 2024. Advancing Health Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Initiatives: Leading the data collection and analysis for White Oak Medical Center's equity, diversity, inclusion and belonging (EDIB) initiatives, where I analyze data to identify healthcare disparities. I am currently coordinating a team to implement the first targeted initiative. I also represent my hospital on the system-wide EDI committee, collaborating to drive meaningful improvements across the system-wide. Enhancing Data Interoperability: In my role as a senior clinical informatics consultant with Next Level Health Innovations, I work alongside federal partners to support the USCDI+ initiative, delivering expertise to elevate data standards and regulatory alignment across healthcare systems for enhanced patient outcomes at scale.
