About Eva Pek

Agricultural engineer and agricultural economist by training, I have been specialised in agricultural water management, irrigation management, integrated drought management, and the economics of water. With +9 years of research and development background in agricultural water management, I am engaged in relevant areas of work, such as irrigation management at system- and farm-levels, methodology development for performance assessment and monitoring of water infrastructure, climate change adaptation in small-scale agriculture, water resource monitoring, integrated drought management, development of computerized tools for water resource management, and investment in water resource development. Related to these topics, I authored and co-authored several articles and books in scholarly journals and publishing houses. I have gained extensive experience in resource mobilisation working with different financing mechanisms including EU funds, climate funds (GEF, AF) and various development banks. The geographical focus of my work covers Sub-Saharan Africa, NENA region and Central-Asia.
