Hi, my name is Eva.I am a community-oriented mental health clinician skilled at providing clients with person-centered, evidence-based rehabilitation paired with intensive case management. I have experience working with both children and adults with intellectual disabilities, psychiatric disorders, substance use disorders, and/or co-occurring issues. I am adept at working with people from a variety of backgrounds, faiths, cultures, learning styles, education levels and sexual orientations. I work with groups and individuals to help them gain the skills and find the support necessary to manage and process such issues as anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, and serious mental illness.Also, I am a skilled communicator. I have written on innumerable topics and am familiar with several professional style guides. I am adept at gathering information from subject matter experts and utilizing and critically evaluating research materials to ensure that created goals and strategies are relevant and evidence-based.My writing, verbal, and research skills have enabled me to create an effective leadership style that I have used to support organizational goals and strategies. In various capacities, I have attended meetings with entities including local, state, national, and international governments to gather information and to discuss organizational pursuits in detail. I continually work to expand my communication, relational, research and leadership skills and knowledge as a mental health professional, writer, editor and ambassador of my organization.I am a native Austinite who falls more in love with this city every day. My non-work activities include cooking world cuisine, learning about other cultures, reading medical and scientific research studies and journals, listening to Texas blues, and dancing to the music of local musicians.
