About Eva Sell

I will officially graduate Spring 2024 with my undergrad in Archaeological Anthropology with a minor in Historic Preservation and certifications in Museum Studies and the Archaeological Sciences. I currently curate USFS collections at UGA’s Laboratory of Archaeology. I am going to graduate school for English Education. My graduate class projects have focused on documenting historic properties located in various counties surrounding Athens, GA (Clarke, Walton, Oconee, Morgan), including primarily residential, commercial, and agricultural areas both designed and vernacular. During Summer 2023 I attended a field school with UGA that worked in collaboration with the Muskogee (Creek) Nation, and did fieldwork in Csökmő, Hungary as part of the Prehistoric Interactions on the Plain Project (PIPP). I have previous experience as an Archaeological Technician Intern with the Bureau of Land Management in Fillmore, UT, interned with the Georgia Museum of Natural History, assisted in a brick factory excavation at the Sandy Creek Nature Center, was the previous Vice President for UGA’s Student Association for the Archaeological Sciences for Spring 2023, visited the opening of Chicago’s Field Museum of Natural History’s First Kings of Europe exhibit with my professor as part of an Anthropological Museum Studies course, worked in the Book Preservation and Binding Unit at the UGA Libraries, volunteered on various archaeological projects with the USFS and NPS, and have teaching experience as a Peer Writing Tutor at the University of North Georgia and as a volunteer tutor during Forsyth Central High School’s 2021 ESOL Summer School program.
