Process Operator with Linde Canada in Chatham, Ontario, with Refrigeration Operator Class A and Compressor Operator certifications. I started the Chemical Production and Power Engineering Technology program at Lambton College in Sarnia, Ontario in September 2020. In my first year, I challenged the 4th Class A&B tests and passed. I obtained a first co-op with Linde Canada in Sarnia, Ontario as a Railcar Loader, loading and distributing tank cars with liquid CO2 while following Transportation of Dangerous Goods, TSSA, and site specific policies to ensure safety and efficiency. In my spare time, I shadowed the site operators and assisted in their routine checks and any maintenance on equipment such as compressors, pumps, heat exchangers, and cooling towers, along with gas analyzer calibration and gas testing. With this, I was able to obtain qualifying hours and experience for my Refrigeration Operator Class B and Compressor Operator certifications. I continued working in this position while returning for a 3rd semester at Lambton College. During the semester, I obtained my Refrigeration Operator Class B certification. Upon completing this semester, I was awarded 9 months qualifying time towards my 4th Class Operating Engineer certificate. At the same time, I was offered a Process Operator position at the Linde Canada Chatham CO2 plant. I decided to halt my studies at Lambton College and accept the position. In my position, I have taken charge of multiple jobs such as tracking loading hose tests and expiry, compressor oil testing and reports, atmospheric monitor calibration tests, and managing all maintenance work orders.
