About Evan Ashdown

Hi, my name is Evan. I am an experienced system administrator with a unique focus on Microsoft 365 and a strong background in server and network administration. I have been working in the IT world for just over five years now but my experience with technology goes far beyond that. As far back as I can remember, I have always been fascinated with technology, how it works, and how we can make it better. Whether it was explaining the difference between POP and IMAP, re-wiring the home for Cat5, or tweaking the Wi-Fi to run a little faster, the technology always seemed to click with me. Naturally, I found myself quickly working in the MSP space where I was able to learn and work on emerging technology while maintaining those critical skills from the past. Over the last five years, I have developed a unique focus on the Microsoft 365 suite of products including Exchange (on-prem, hybrid, and online), Teams, SharePoint (OneDrive), and Azure AD. During my time in the MSP space, I received several recognitions for my thoroughness, technical expertise, operational guidance, and being an all-around asset to the organization. I am also proud to be the only Messaging resource with Long View to ever be nominated for an organization-wide award. Currently, I have taken a senior role with Finning International offering senior technical support in the Microsoft 365 space to Finning and all subsidiary companies. This role has allowed me to continue expanding my knowledge in the Microsoft 365 realm while working within a world-class enterprise organization.
