Dedicated Registered Nurse with a passion for providing critical, evidence-based care to our most vulnerable paediatric and neonatal patients, as well as fiercely advocating for the rights of healthcare professionals. My career is defined by a commitment to excellence. My foundation is in clinical practice, where I have provided comprehensive acute care for children and infants at St. Joseph's Health Centre. I am experienced in managing complex conditions, and am proficient in a range of nursing skills. Thriving in collaborative environments, I excel at building rapport with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes. This frontline experience ignited my passion for systemic change, leading me to serve as a Union Representative for the Ontario Nurses’ Association (ONA). For over three years, I have successfully represented members, navigated grievances, and advocated for members through professional responsibility workload disputes. My ability to blend hands-on nursing knowledge with a deep understanding of Ontario legislation, strengthened by my Master of Public Health, allows me to effectively bridge the gap between policy and practice. Beyond these roles, my work as an Infection Prevention and Control (IPAC) Coordinator and Occupational Hygiene Consultant has honed my skills in policy development, training, and promoting health and safety for both patients and staff. I am a proven leader and mentor, passionate about coaching colleagues through complex professional challenges.
