Background
About Evan Clark
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate (LPCC) in Colorado and the founder of Psyche Sanctuary, a practice dedicated to psychedelic preparation, integration, and addiction recovery coaching. My work has always been driven by a deep curiosity about the mind and a passion for supporting individuals through transformative experiences. Throughout my journey, I’ve worked with people from all walks of life—providing counseling at Spalding University and the University of Louisville, while also exploring diverse cultural perspectives on healing. Studying Hilltribe Anthropology and Buddhist Mindfulness Practices at Chiang Mai University in Thailand broadened my understanding of how different communities cultivate mental well-being—blending tradition, mindfulness, and connection beyond conventional approaches. Later, working alongside indigenous healers in the Amazon deepened my understanding of integration, ceremony, and holistic healing. As a lead facilitator at Nihue Rao Centro Espiritual in Peru, I spent over a year guiding individuals through deeply personal experiences, helping them navigate and integrate emotional and psychological shifts. This role reinforced my ability to create safe, supportive spaces for transformation—an essential skill I now bring to my work at Psyche Sanctuary, where I help clients process and integrate psychedelic experiences with a trauma-informed, holistic approach. Beyond one-on-one work, I’m committed to mental health advocacy and education. I founded Psychedelic Science Awareness and previously served as an advisory board member for the Kentucky Harm Reduction Coalition, working to promote harm reduction strategies, ethical therapeutic practices, and innovative approaches to healing. I believe in a future where mental health care is not just about managing symptoms, but about embracing the full spectrum of human experience. Whether through therapy, community initiatives, or meaningful conversations, I am dedicated to creating spaces where healing is intentional, accessible, and transformative. Let’s Connect If you're interested in collaborating, sharing ideas, or discussing psychedelic integration and mental health, I’d love to connect.
