About Evan Cunningham

Charismatic individual looking to help others get outdoors and discover new experiences. Throughout my working career, I have been a part of various teams that strive on education and determination in their respective environments. Working for many years at YMCA Camp Cory, I was able to grow from a counselor in training, to Program Director. I quickly flourished, teaching staff the ins and outs of the job, aiding in youth development, and performing with the confidence that I was making the current standards more efficient whilst creating a new and exciting experience for seasoned staff and campers alike.Through my time at Sportrock Climbing Centers, I instantly found my place and planted deep roots. As an instructor, I was able to spark passion in new customers, teaching them the basics of technique and form, allowing them to grow into more competent climbers. Soon after, I was chosen to run the summer camp program, revolutionizing the program and curriculum to allow for a newer, progressive program for campers. After showing my capabilities, I was able to grow into the Supervisor position that allowed me to oversee the following: facility based marketing, events and programming, retail, staff and customer engagement, staff development, company standardization, yoga and fitness programming, private coaching. I am continuing to pursue my passion of the outdoors and seeking opportunities that allow me to use the skills I have acquired over the past decade to help get others prepared for what Mother Nature has to offer.
