About Evan Danis

Dr. Evan Danis, born in Athens, Greece, has amassed a distinguished career spanning over 40 years in the Communications Business. His focus has been primarily on Research & Development, Project Management, the Transfer of Know-How for high-tech products, and Telecom Business Development. Although he commenced his career in the UK, where he specialized in developing VLSI products for Satellite applications at RACAL and RF Digital Modems for Military Mobile applications at PHILIPS RESEARCH LABORATORIES, the majority of his professional journey unfolded in Greece. During his tenure at INTRACOM-TELECOM SA, he held various executive roles, steering numerous business development and technology transfer projects, as well as turn-key initiatives. Dr. Danis played a pivotal role in establishing significant sales accounts with major Mobile Operators in Greece and the Balkans. Later, he took on the role of Chief Technical Officer at Albanian Mobile Communications (AMC), a member of the DT Group. In this capacity, he revitalized the Division, elevating the company to a top technical level with a notable impact on the local market. He spearheaded the modernization of the entire Mobile Network and implemented the technical infrastructure for various value-added services. Additionally, Dr. Danis founded "SpikeTec," a Project Management Company focused on the implementation and support of Telecommunication Projects for Telecom Operators in Greece. Having worked for ZTE in Greece as Acting General Manager and for Dialogos Speech Communications SA as Business Development Director, Dr. Danis brings a wealth of experience to his current role as the Head of PMO at Raycap Corporation. In this capacity, he is responsible for the Project Management of Communications Engineering Projects for a number of significant clients. Dr Danis earned his B.Sc and M.Sc degrees in Communications Engineering from the University of Kent (UK) in 1982 and 1983, respectively. Subsequently, he obtained his Ph.D. in Digital Communications from the University of Manchester (UK) in 1986 on an SERC grant. Complementing his technical qualifications, he holds a diploma in Business Administration and has undertaken various professional courses and workshops in Sales & Marketing, Human Resources, and Technical Issues in modern Communications as part of Continuous Education programs. As a Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and member of the Greek Technical Association (TEE), FITCHE, and PMI - USA, Dr Danis is well-versed in the intricacies of his field.
