About Evan Das

I'm a Staff Engineer at Qualcomm's software division, dedicated to engineering highly secure and scalable software solutions. My initial nine years in the industry were focused on IMS and VoIP protocol development, where I honed my skills in C, C++, and intricate software design.Currently, I'm at the forefront of a new product initiative, applying hands-on programming, advanced debugging, and strategic design principles. A significant part of my role involves implementing critical security protocols, including Diffie-Hellman with ECC, various AES flavors, and other cryptographic concepts. I'm proud to have successfully implemented a core handshake mechanism, a module I now lead a team of five in enhancing and maintaining.Recognizing the importance of efficiency, I designed an automated code generation architecture for this project, a solution highly praised for its ability to reduce manual effort and simplify the integration of new user modules. I lead my team with a big-picture mindset, always striving for scalable designs and fostering an environment where every voice is heard and inspired to contribute. I believe in writing code that is built to last, avoiding redundant effort by focusing on self-sustaining and extensible architectures.
