About Evan Davis

On top of being the IT Infrastructure and Security Manager, I am the West Regional Director for MISA Ontario. I am a 20-year veteran in the industry. From my early days in Municipal IT, I have been an advocate for strong cyber governance and security. Since coming to Grey County in 2017 as the IT Infrastructure and Security Manager, I have overseen the development of the County’s cybersecurity program from the ground up, as well as the total refresh of the County's IT Infrastructure. Doing so with with governance and technology based on industry standard frameworks. I have SSCP and CISSP certifications from (ISC)2, ITIL Certification and am a 27001 certified ISMS lead implementer. I have also been involved in developing and implementing the County's IT Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity Plans. Outside of IT I am a proud member of the Meaford Fire Department. I currently hold the rank of Lieutenant and have been part of this small but mighty team since 2010. Part of my responsibilities with the department are to be commander of fire scenes, lead teams at larger scenes and provide instruction to members. I have been performing the administration of the department's online learning platform and the development of our lesson plan library. I have my NFPA Firefighter 1 and 2, Fire Office 1 and 2, Instructor 1 and Safety Officer certifications.
