About Evan Dempsey

I am an industrial designer focused on the nuances of form, function, and materiality. My work is rooted in a deep curiosity for problem solving while transforming abstract concepts into tangible, manufacturable designs. I specialize in creating simple, functional objects that address complex challenges by balancing diverse inputs—function, ergonomics, technical constraints, and manufacturing limitations—to produce designs that are striking yet intuitive. Holistic Product Development – Leading projects from abstract ideas through to fully realized, manufacturable products. User-Centered Design & Research – Integrating insights from user research into practical, elegant design solutions. Furniture & Object Design – Exploring the intersection of materials, function, and form to create objects that enrich everyday life. Prototyping & Iterative Design – Using 3D modeling, renderings, and rapid prototypes to refine design intent and ensure design clarity. Collaborative, Cross-Disciplinary Process – Working closely with engineering, marketing, and manufacturing teams to ensure successful outcomes at every stage.
