About Evan Dyson

I am a senior computer science major with a passion for creating innovative solutions that improve lives. I have experience in developing prosthetic devices, software applications, and video games, using various coding languages and software platforms. Some of my notable achievements include- Overseeing and helping to create a "smart cane" which will be able to assist blind people in many capabilities such as audibly notifying them of obstacles or using vibrations to signal them if them have multiple impairments- Designing and prototyping hardware for two prosthetic hands using Arduino and C++- Developing several websites for friends and family as side projects- Managing and creating a 2D adventure game for my senior project using Unity and C#. I am currently pursuing my bachelor's degree in computer science at the University of Florida, where I am taking or have completed courses in artificial intelligence, database systems, software engineering, and operating systems. I am also involved in an extracurricular club called GRiP (Generational Relief in Prosthetics) where I am a Project Captain for my team "Visual Support Cane". I am always eager to learn new skills and explore new challenges in the field of computer science. I am looking for opportunities to collaborate with other professionals and contribute to meaningful projects that can make a positive impact on the world.
