About Evan Eades

Before college, I took all the engineering classes in high school, played key roles in designing robots for my FIRST robotics team, and I even began a full time job as an apprentice electrician and metal fabricator. Through this, I have discovered an unquenchable desire to learn, tinker and work relentlessly to achieve my goals. This is why I chose to study mechanical engineering. In my pursuit of knowledge, I am beginning to uncover the fields I am truly passionate about. Joining Rose Propulsion Lab (RPL), my love for propulsion and space travel was ignited. During my freshman year of college, I led the design and fabrication of a thrust chamber assembly for a test stand mounted liquid rocket engine capable of producing 100lbf of thrust. A test engine that is paving the way for designing a rocket capable of launching and landing again. Rose GPE, our FSAE team, has helped unveil my passion for fluid dynamics, and automotive engineering. I am currently leading the aerodynamics body and composites sub-team. We are using the fundamentals of incompressible flow, CFD, and lap-time simulations to design an aero package that is capable of decreasing lap time for our first electric race car. Through my coursework, leadership on design teams, and engineering internship experience, I have grown to thrive in fast paced and stressful environments and chase my passions.
