I help great dispensary operators own their local markets with a mix of digital marketing tactics to acquire and retain customers, including Local SEO, SEO Content Strategy & Development, ECom Optimization, Text & Email Campaign Development, and Operations Consulting. I started consulting on cannabis policy in 2014, then opened and managed successful dispensaries in IL & FL, driving sales with superior customer service by developing & leading knowledgeable, results-focused teams. In addition to traditional, high-volume retail dispensary experience, I developed new processes to successfully open FL’s first drive-thru dispensary (Curaleaf Palm Harbor), and built a successful home delivery operation fulfilling nearly 100 orders/day. I entered the cannabis industry after spending years fighting for more sensible drug laws based in science, reason, and compassion, with the understanding that the current prohibitionist regime has failed to address the problems caused by drug use. After serving as a member of the Board of Directors and Board of Trustees for Students for Sensible Drug Policy, I have continued to fight for safe access to medical cannabis by participating in the Florida DOH’s Negotiated Rulemaking Proceeding on cannabis dosing, pushing back on restrictive limits proposed by other committee members. I have demonstrated my commitment to harm reduction policies and practices by writing and helping to implement a Medical Amnesty Policy for University of South Florida campuses to remove barriers to emergency medical care in the case of alcohol or other drug overdoses, and joining DanceSafe’s harm reduction team integrated into the first TomorrowWorld music festival.
