Paratrooper turned chemist. I earned my PhD in the Pentzer Lab at Texas A&M University, focusing on synthetic organic and materials chemistry. I specialized in utilizing synthetic strategies to design novel polymers that allow for probing the structure-property relationship of redox active polymers and push the frontier of alternative battery materials. Using olefin metathesis to control redox group spacing, I tailored polymer structures for targeted properties. I am looking for an opportunity that will allow me to combine my synthetic materials knowledge and experience with a proven military track record to develop the next generation of applied materials. I have extensive experience in organic synthesis and experiment design. Additionally, I am well versed in a multitude of characterization techniques including NMR, FTIR, UV-Vis, GPC/SEC, GC-MS, TGA, DSC, and EPR. I have experience predicting polymer-solvent interactions and their influence on electrochemical performance. I am looking for an opportunity that allows me to combine my synthetic materials knowledge and experience with a proven military track record to push the boundaries of applied science.
