About Evan Fredriksen

I work as an assistant editor for commercial, documentary, and independent projects including technology release campaigns, commercials, retrospective documentaries about public figures, music videos, and independent short films. I am able to assist lead editors through loading and organization of dailies, client revisions, and the handoff between finishing studios. I can also cut sidecar versions, promotional materials, and alternate edits as needed. Additional services I have provided include providing accurate edit data for legal review, compositing and motion graphics, sound design, and creative input. I take pleasure in correctly completing the technical processes of video post production while also offering editors and directors a positive and productive creative mind to help steer the project towards a fully realized creative vision. I have a background in animation and academic media studies which has provided me with a flexible and expansive understanding of what the moving image is capable of; how video transmits and receives audiovisual ideas in a world of digital communication. I have additional experience as an animator, sound designer, documentarian of live events, and archival researcher. Adobe Premiere is the primary software I work with. I am proficient with Adobe Premiere, Avid Media Composer, DaVinci Resolve, After Effects, Photoshop, and various accessory softwares as well.
