About Evan Graham

I am currently serving at the Department of Transportation Cherry Hill Traffic Operations Center as an Engineering Technician 1. I have been with the Traffic Operations for 9 years. I manage all types of incidents from motor vehicle accidents to delays in traffic. When I worked with the maintenance crew, I operated equipment such as the five man dump truck, two man; eight ton dump truck, the loader, the John Deer mowers (with wing), etc. I am a combat veteran that was in United States Army and earned 3 Purple Hearts. Within that time, I progressed from being an enlisted soldier to earning the promotion of sergeant. I also served, when needed, as Squad Leader, and Team Leader. Furthermore for sixteen years, I volunteered for my local fire department. Those experiences trained me in skill sets that make me a valuable asset as a leader within any position I occupy. During my time as a Sergeant, I had to educate regularly and test my soldiers on their individual jobs and roles within the Army. I was accountable for their safety and their actions while on deployments along with a substantial amount of sensitive equipment items. Therefore, I made sure that the soldiers working with me were operational, knowledgeable, and understanding of their own roles along with mine. Under the extreme situations we were put in, I had to work as their comrade and confidant to encourage my soldiers to continue the mission that was necessary.
