About Evan Kennedy

I am Evan Kennedy, an accomplished hospitality professional. I have formal education along with 8+ years experience in guest service & event operational roles, as well as team-based communication skills that allow for development of projects, like seasonal events & company training materials. My education is supported by my Bachelor of Science in Event Management & Hospitality Management, from The University of Central Florida’s: Rosen College of Hospitality Management, where I graduated in 2016. Some relevant coursework includes; management of events, hospitality, guest services, industry-based communications & marketing. My most recent professional experience includes my time with the Ciccio Restaurant Group’s: Cali South Tampa location- where I manage special projects like a sustainable marketing internship & maintain an original bar program, while also overseeing training materials, & delivering superior catering/event services to local clients. Previous experience includes: sales & talent development at Universal Orlando Resort, sales at Hilton Grand Vacations, brand management & event operations at Orlando’s Artegon Marketplace, & finally, guest services & training at the restaurant Crispers. All support considered, my current short-term goal includes supporting my portfolio with new experience, in the industry or beyond, by exploring various opportunities, while paying special attention to remote/work-from-home roles due to my current family situation. My long-term goal includes supporting my portfolio with additional education, not limited to: events creation & development, workplace diversity, environmental sustainability, journalism & marketing.
