PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE Oct, 2005 – Present • Creative pro bono consultant for Saatchi and Saatchi’s New Music Review, a compilation series produced every three months for clients of the agency • Selects some bands/artists appearing on compilations • Writes paragraph-long summaries about selected artists on CD insert, at one time read as introductions by Rita Houston of WFUV January-April 2009 • Worked on the upcoming Showtime TV series, Nurse Jackie. Assistant to music supervisor, Daniel Lieberstein. Duties included keeping track of quote requests, cue sheets and performing various song searches. Fall 2008 • Part-time campaigner for the Working Families Party, independent 3rd party in NY State • Successfully canvassed in Suffolk County to help elect its first Democrat, Brian Foley, to the State Senate in over 100 years Summer 2006 • Internship at The Orchard, an independent music licensing company, with catalogue of hundreds of artists • Burned mixes for potential clients • Wrote track descriptions for these mixes, plus letter in Spanish to a potential client Summer 2005 • Internship at Pulse Music, a music house/studio • Researched and compiled “essential pop music” catalog for each decade starting with the 60’s through summer of ‘05 • Initiated searches for missing music publishing royalties Summer 2004, 2005 • Internship at McHale Barone, a radio production house/recording studio, only intern in house at the time • Helped with stock music searches for radio spots • Organized and streamlined stock music library by suggesting music to be eliminated Specialties: I have a great ear and a vast knowledge of many types of music, including (but not limited to) rock, indie, hip-hop, electronica, trip-hop, etc. My standards for what I believe to be a good piece of music are high and I will pitch only the best possible songs.
