About Evan Lee

I am a naval architect employed at the design firm of Gibbs & Cox (G&C) in Arlington, Virginia, where I perform hull design, seakeeping, maneuverability, stability, weights, and a variety of other naval architecture duties supporting defense-focused and research-focused vessels. Prior to working at G&C, I worked as a naval architect at BMT Designers and Planners in Alexandria, Virginia, and as an assistant naval architect at Bay Engineering, Inc. in Sturgeon Bay Wisconsin. I attained a Bachelor’s of Science and Engineering in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering from the University of Michigan in April 2017 and I worked at several internships and part-time jobs to further my educational and career goals. My primary interests in naval architecture are hull design, seakeeping, ice design, but I am keen on expanding my abilities and skillsets in all directions as a traditional naval architect. I highly value industriousness, ingenuity, and enthusiasm in the workplace; I am both grateful and excited to be employed at a firm that shares these values.
