About Evan Magers

Creative leader with a long, unusual track record of taking good things and helping them to become even better things. I started my career at Google, founded and sold a company before I turned 28, had a premature midlife crisis and chucked it all away to become a full-time touring musician. Eventually I got sick of the circus and and re-hung my shingle as a freelance marketing consultant, which led eventually to my current position as Chief Marketing Officer of Fouts Bros Inc. At Fouts I spearhead GTM strategy for all six of the commercial automotive brands under our corporate umbrella. Without a doubt I couldn't do what I do without the world-class team I lead, as well as my other coworkers and fellow executives, but I'm proud to have played a pivotal role in the biggest growth spurt my company has experienced in its 74-year history. Long story short, I'm good at a whole lot of things. I'm bad at a whole lot of things, too. But what I'm really great at is acknowledging those personal gaps, and then patching them fast, by gathering the right people around me and giving them the right amount of rope to do their thing. My biggest talent is my eye for talent, plus a natural knack for mentorship and leadership that gets the most out of (and gives the most back to) everyone who works for me and with me.
