Evan McKeirnan brings nearly three decades of dedicated experience in corporate aviation to his current role as Maintenance Supervisor at Solairus Aviation, based in Van Nuys, California. His journey into aviation began in high school and led him to Spokane Community College in Washington, where he earned his FAA Airframe and Powerplant Certificates along with an Associate degree in Aviation Maintenance. Evan is certified in FAA Airframe and Powerplant with Inspection Authorization, as a Private Pilot, Small Unmanned Aircraft System Remote Pilot, and holds an FCC Restricted Radiotelephone Operator Permit. He has completed advanced training, including courses on Gulfstream G450 and G550 at FlightSafety International, and specialized training in Gulfstream GVI-G650. Throughout his career, Evan has assumed various critical roles including Crew Chief, Chief Inspector, and Director of Maintenance across renowned aviation firms. He has managed maintenance for a diverse fleet, spanning Gulfstream GII to G650, and his efforts have consistently improved safety and operational efficiencies. His achievements are highlighted by FAA Silver and Bronze Awards, the 2015 AMT Society Magazine & Online “NextGen 40 under 40” Award, and a NBAA Flying Safety Award for 16+ years of accident-free maintenance activities. Currently, Evan manages maintenance operations for a Gulfstream G650 and G550, operated worldwide under FAA part 91. He is responsible for all facets of maintenance, ensuring compliance with strict safety protocols and standards. Evan’s extensive experience is underscored by his unwavering commitment to quality, cost efficiency, and safety. Growing up near a local airport in Pomeroy, Washington, Evan was deeply influenced by the aviation activities around him and the guidance of industry professionals. He actively contributes to the aviation community by mentoring aspiring technicians, delivering talks at Spokane Community College, and participating in the FAAST team. Beyond his professional life, Evan is an enthusiastic offroad motorcycle racer, actively competing in the AMA District 37 Grand Prix and Desert series, achieving numerous victories.
