About Evan Mestel

I am a skilled and well-versed human being who enjoys working with children in all different capacities. Since the age of 14 yrs old I had dreams of becoming a TV news anchor. When that didn’t work out I went back to school for a Master’s degree in School Counseling in hopes of becoming a MS/HS Guidance Counselor because God only knows how much this country needs positive role models for the future of our children. My Mom inspired me to become a Guidance Counselor and is a retired NYC HS English teacher. I also love anything to do with learning about US history and museums. At a young age, my Dad made playing and watching sports an important part of my life. Since middle school, I knew that I wanted to attend a Division I college/university for athletics. I was ultimately accepted to UMass-Amherst in my senior yr of HS. Now I’m back in school again for a Human Resources management certificate at Florida Atlantic University (FAU). In my spare time, I’m an avid reader and also enjoy writing, swimming, playing tennis, going to movies, live concerts, working out (gym), lounges/nightclubs, beach, pool, and spending time with my friends and family. My favorite childhood author is R.L. Stine and my second is J.K. Rowling. My 3 favorite bands listed in order are: No Doubt, Linkin Park, and Dave Matthews Band.
