Background
About Evan Penny
I have been in the oil & energy industry since 2013 and have learned everything about construction, repair and maintenance during that time. I started out as a pipeline rig welder in Colorado where I became the lead welder and weld boss. We did all the construction for new gas/oil steel pipelines, compressor stations, short meter connects and so forth. In 2018 I took a position in the distribution side of things where I was a welder/fuser on all the new construction and replacing of steel & poly plastic mains throughout four states. In 2019 I was offered a position to become a leader on leak crews that repair leaks on steel/poly natural gas mains. We had to pinpoint the leaks, assess the severity and follow procedures to excavate the area so we could perform the work. I then would repair the leaks by welding on the steel mains or squeezing the poly pipe to be able to perform our repairs.
