Background

About Evan Ronan

I have more than 10 years of progressive experience in the environmental sector, including many years as an environmental researcher in academia. I am currently a Policy Advisor in the Resources Development Section of the Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources, where I work to support policy development for sustainable resource management in the province. I previously completed a PhD in Environmental Applied Science and Management, during which I studied the efficacy and sustainability of new wastewater treatment technologies. I am adept at developing proposals and leading the collection and analysis of complex data, to provide evidence-based advice and recommendations for government decision makers. My communication skills are among my strongest attributes and I have extensive experience writing and synthesizing information for both technical and non-technical audiences. In addition to my technical experience in environmental science and management, my key transferable skills include: • Proposal development, research and analysis, and innovative problem solving. • Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision and as part of cross-functional teams. • Effective oral and written communication to convey complex ideas to diverse audiences. In my spare time, I enjoy playing guitar, cycling, and playing hockey. Please feel free to connect with me!
