About Evan Schmeizer
I earned my Masters in Sports Broadcasting in August 2021 from Sacred Heart University in Sports Communication & Media/Broadcasting. I have been able to call play-by-play for sporting events on Sacred Heart's campus as well as working on the event operations teams for basketball and lacrosse games. I have experience with working game, slash, and high/tight cameras. I graduated with a Bachelors from St. Lawrence University in May of 2020. I majored in Performance and Communication Arts with a minor in Sports Studies and Exercise Science. I ran cross country and track during my time at SLU & my one year at Sacred Heart. I remain competitive as a runner today and I believe I am poised to break several of my personal best track times this spring. I have experience in calling play-by-play, live event productions, and exemplary writing skills. I am proficient at lifting heavy objects, I am as mentally strong as they come as I run 50 miles/wk, six days/wk. I spent 8 years as a sports camp counselor out in the sun while directing up to 120 young athletes at a time.
