About Evan Sekiguchi

I recently graduated University of Illinois class of ‘24 with a bachelors degree in finance with a german minor. I recently completed a financial analyst internship at Amazon Web Services (AWS), where I advised product management by recommending pricing decisions based on data analysis and financial modeling. While at school, I also served as Co-President of the Illinois Music Business Club, a student organization that creates opportunities for networking and learning about the music industry. At AWS, I leveraged my SQL skills to extract data from databases and translate metadata into useful business metrics. I developed advanced financial models to inform pricing decisions for various products and services. I collaborated with product managers and engineers to provide insights and recommendations that supported the business strategy and goals. At the Illinois Music Business Club, I managed the operations of a student music label with six artists and over one million Spotify streams. I planned live speaker events, worked with artists, and understood the campus culture. I designed a clear structure and intent for the club to introduce students to an underrepresented career path and help diversify the campus offerings. In my free time, I like to play guitar in my band and enjoy the outdoors. I am passionate about data analysis, financial analysis, and the music industry, and I can bring diverse perspectives and experiences to any team.
