About Evan Smigel

My work experience is working at the local grocery store, Buehler's, in my hometown, cutting grass during the summer, and working at Buzzard Cove in Hinkley Ohio. At Buehler's, I worked as a bagger, being able to move from station to station depending on what was needed. I cut grass for people in my neighborhood and for my grandparents. At Buzzard Cove I worked as a cook, preparing food to make sure it was done on time while being able to fluently work with my co-workers. I am in the Phi Delta Theta fraternity at Ashland University. I am the current President and have held multiple positions within it like our philanthropy chairman. As President, I lead a group of 23, 19-23-year-olds throughout the year-long term I have been elected to. We are focused on getting a great college experience while being able to excel in school and the fraternity. As the philanthropy chairman, I held four events that made $1,096,$2680,$1030, and $890. All of the money we raised goes towards the LiveLikeLou foundation to help families affected by ALS and to help the research efforts for this incurable disease. Personally, I raised $1,032.5 and became an Iron Phi, which is when you raise and compete in an athletic event.
