With 15 years of experience as a dedicated English and Creative Writing teacher, I am passionate about fostering a love for literature and the power of creative expression in my students. My career has been defined by a commitment to designing dynamic and engaging curricula that go beyond the textbook, encouraging critical thinking and a deeper connection to the written word. I am highly proficient in curriculum development and have a proven track record of implementing effective instructional strategies, from foundational reading comprehension to advanced critical thinking skills. My professional work also includes leading departmental learning teams and conducting workshops on teaching creative writing. As an educator, I am a firm believer in embracing modern tools to enhance learning. I have extensive experience leveraging digital content management systems like Canvas, and I am adept at integrating AI platforms such as ChatGPT and Gemini into the classroom to spark creativity and facilitate learning.
