About Evan Talbott-Swain

I am currently seeking a role in the fields of GIS and environmental science in Portland, OR. I recently graduated from the University of Missouri - Columbia with an MA in Geography and a Graduate Certificate in Geographical Information Science. My graduate studies focused on GIS, environmental science, and climate change. I have a strong research background with expertise in Geography and Ecology. My graduate thesis used GIS and remote sensing to investigate climate change within forests of Rocky Mountain National Park, and found that ~75% of the national park has experienced extreme forest mortality since I am passionate about ecological restoration and climate change mitigation. I try to lead a sustainable lifestyle, especially by eating plant-based and composting my food scraps. My passion drives me to produce high-quality work and contribute in a positive way to my community and the planet as a whole.
