Background

About Evan Tate

I recently graduated from Thomas Jefferson University with a Masters in Community and Trauma Counseling while also specializing in art therapy. I completed my practicum placement at Malvern Preparatory School and completed my internship at The Crefeld School. I am experienced in working with and supporting school-aged adolescents and teens, including those with developmental and social difficulties as well as those on the autism spectrum. In previous years I have worked at a child play therapy organization called Kids at Play in addition to an internship with the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia's Center for Autism Research. I am skilled in ensuring my students feel they are not alone in what they are experiencing while providing them a safe environment to be vulnerable and express their emotions. In addition, my skills include art therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy and person-centered therapy.
